Happy Birthday, Ethan!

He's already a year? Now, I know every mom on the planet says that when their children grow up, but we have had quite a year and I am SO grateful that we can look back and say, "We did it! It's past us! He's healthy! Hooray!!!" The next year will be full of changes and Ethan words. He will start running and going crazy as a toddler does. He is eating grown-up food and over the next few weeks, I get to transition him to whole milk, no bottle, and no binkie! Wa Hoo!!!

Ethan had a great birthday yesterday....well, as much as a one-year-old can. We actually had a barbeque with a few of our friends down here and the only real "birthday" thing we did was he got to have a WHOLE chocolate chip cookie! His favorite! This morning we opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa Jack and from Lana and Scott. We did record it so watch for the youtube link in your emails. Ethan has also decided that he's big enough to start climbing on top of things and out of things. The little pot-licker climbed and then fell out of his crib the other day. We lowered it to the absolute lowest setting so hopefully that will deter him for the time being. Don't worry! He's fine! It just stunned him a little.
